Custom made genuine bullhide show leads! Bullhide is a soft, supple, and strong leather that bundles nicely in hand! Please fill out the form below to design your own custom lead!
Please note that while bullhide is strong, these are narrow leads and it is a natural material and may not hold up to a dog that pulls. That said we do use these to show our own dogs and have for a couple years, (and a couple of them pull, though they are not large dogs), and we have not experienced any signs of failure or heavy wear!
Select the Lead Length
Please select the length you would like your lead to be. Length will include the handle down to the top of the martingale loop (it does not include the length of the loop itself).
Select the Collar Length
Please select the length you would like the collar portion of your French martingale to be.
This measurement is the smallest inner circumference the martingale will close to. Please make sure to select a length that is the same, or less than the size of the smallest circumference of your dog's neck.
If your dog's neck is 12 1/2" for example, select 12" or smaller. If you select a size that larger than your dog's neck, your dog may be able to slip the collar and/or you may not be able to keep it high on the neck.
Select Loop Length
Please select the length you would like the loop portion of your French martingale to be.
This measurement is how much the martingale will adjust. The collar length plus the loop length should be at least 2" larger than the circumference of the widest measurement of your dog's head to make sure it will fit over the dog's head easily. Ie. if the largest part of your dog's head measures 16" and you've selected a 13" collar length, then you should order at least a 5" loop length (13+5=18").

Select O Ring Metal and Size
Please select the O Ring metal and size you would prefer for your French martingale! Do not select 1/2" for 5/8" bullhide and do not select 5/8" for under 1/2" bullhide.(dropdown shows price of 1 O ring, but 2 are used, so total for lead will include 2x the O ring price)

Custom bullhide show leads are made with genuine bullhide and primarily brass components/hardware (some design elements may have a steel base). Rhinestones are primarily famous brand Austrian made crystals, though we have some colors that are Preciosa brand.
